Cart Lodges - Standard design
Above is an example of a 2 bay Cart Lodge in our Standard design.
Our Standard design can be applied to any open or enclosed bay combination in any number of bays.
We can easily incorporate a log store or other 'add on' into your design if required.
The following options are available: -
Foundations – Pad and Beam, Strip or Raft.
Over-site – Granular(as above), Tamped, STD floated or Power-floated concrete
Bricks - Soft red Antique style(as above) or to match house?
Frame - Green Oak or Softwood (Plates, posts, knees, ties & bracing)
Walls - Green Oak or Softwood stud-work and wind bracing
Weatherboarding - Oak or Treated Softwood – Sawn or planed & Painted or stained
Roof - Hand cut and tiled with reclaimed Clay Pan Tiles as standard. Duo pitch as standard.(as above)
Other Roof options - Plain Tiles, Peg Tiles, Slate or Thatch. Dove Cotes & Lanterns
Inside - Ply cladding and breather membrane to enclosed bays (with doors)
Gutters - Heritage plastic, Cast Iron or Standard plastic

1 bay 2.9m x 5.2m
2 bay 5.6m x 5.2m
3 bay 8.3m x 5.2m
Bay width = 2.45m
Front wall plate/Access height = 2.1m
Ridge height = 4m
All timber elements in the above example were treated softwood.
The Cart Lodge above was less than 30 square metres and did not require Building Regulations.
